Our Bloodlines
Akhal-Teke Sires
SME Eclipsed Sun
Our foundation stallion, Eclipse proved to be a great stud and competitor. He was trained and competed in eventing. Retired years ago, Eclipsed died at the ripe age of 26 years of age. His line is carried on with Desert Mirage's foals.
Offspring: SME Golden Halo SME Desert Mirage SME Calla Lilly SME Ruby SME Whisper of the Desert Land SME Lying Eyes SME Fire N Silk SME Cosmic Collision MSE American Horror Story
American Horror Story was a gift from Amanda over at Morning Star Equestrian. He was a beautiful pale dun color. All of his gorgeousness almost made up for his ornery personality. Oddly AHS's attitude was only inherited by one of his offspring, all the others are sweetness personified. Horror's lineage is continued at Silver Maple in Silken Dream.
Offspring: SME All That Jazz SME Desert Phoenix SME Desert Sands SME American Dreams SME Takht Ya Takht SME Silken Dream SME Autumn Hills
MSE/SME Neutron Star
A second generation from a combination of Morning Star Equestrian and Silver Maple Equestrian, Neutron Star was a great flat racer. He has produced several great foals before he was retired. His lineage continues at SME with Cosmic Surprise and On Raven's Wings, two of our most valued studs.
Offspring:
SME Silk Shadow SME Keep it Simple SME Death Star's Revenge SME Red Dwarf SME Paxsha (Nez Perce) SME Cosmic Surprise SME On Raven's Wings
MSE/SME Sweet Anything's
Andie was a great race horse and took after both his dam and sire in that. Unlike his dam, Andie was a sweetheart and greeted everyone like a long lost friend. It was a sad day when Andie was retired to pasture... happily we still have his daughter, Burnished Gold.
Offspring:
SME Artemus SME Sweets Made of Gold SME Golden Moon SME Burnished Gold SME Sweet Symphony SME Frosted Gold
LFS Coming Home
Mist was a dream to train and compete with. He never produced many foals before he was retired but he was always a favorite with our mares. Mist competed in eventing and seems to produce offspring that do well in either eventing or dressage.
Offspring:
SME Mirage of Home SME Desert's Shadow SME Memory of Ashes

Akhal-Teke Dams
SME Blazing Sun
One of our foundation mares, Blazing Sun was a skilled show jumper and easily one of the flashiest horses that we have had at Silver Maple. Her lines are only continued at SME through her Nez Perce foal Celilo. We hope in the future to be able to breed Blazing Sun lines back into SME.
Offspring: SME Golden Halo CHF Celilo (Nez Perce) SME Lying Eyes SME Autumn Hills SME Keep it Simple MSE Smooth as Silk
MSE Smooth as Silk arrived at Silver Maple Equestrian with American Horror Story and they couldn't have been more different. Silk was a gentle mare and easy to train as a show jumper. She only had a limited career before becoming one of our top broodmares. Her lines are continued in Silken Dream and MSE Dreaming of Magic. Offspring: SME Ruby SME Fire and Silk SME American Dream SME Desert Sunset SME Silken Dream SME Artemus Offspring at Morning Star Equestrian: MSE/WW Changing Winds MSE Silk Road
SME Cloudy Skies
Cloudy Skies was one of three foundation mares at Silver Maple. She was an accomplished show jumper before becoming a broodmare. Her offspring still at Silver Maple have all proven themselves to be good flat races, though.
Offspring: MSE/SME Neutron Star SME Cosmic Collision DPE/SME Clouded Fate TdA One Step Closer TdA Cadeau Celeste MSE Sweet Revenge
Grade Horse mare from Morning Star Equestrian's famous Clockwork Orange. Revenge was an amazing race horse but proved to be too dangerous to her foals for continued breeding. She was retired early and lives at MSE now.
Offspring:
MSE/SME Sweet Anything's SME Full Metal Jacket SME Death Star's Revenge
LFS A Little Surprise
Mare from the now closed Lexington Firehouse Stables. Surprise proved to be a valuable broodmare and competitor. She only produced three foals for us before falling ill, but she will always be remembered in our standing stallion, Cosmic Surprise.
Offspring:
SME Silk Shadow SME Red Dwarf SME Cosmic Surprise
SME Desert Mirage
Desert Mirage was the second generation of Silver Maple's lines. She inherited all of her dam's racing ability and quickly became a champion race horse. Mirage was one of our best broodmares and produced many foals for us before she was retired. Mirage is now spending her time grazing and enjoying her golden years.
Offspring:
MSE/SME Toyam SME Desert Phoenix SME Desert Sands SME Mirage of Home SME Desert's Shadow SME Golden Moon SME Tsar of Almaz SME Trick of the Light SME Enigma in a Riddle
SME Golden Grace
Golden Grace was the last foal from our foundation stallion, Eclipsed Sun. Grace only had a brief show career and then was retired as a broodmare. She has produced many quality foals for us, one of which is our main broodmare now, Burnished Gold.
Offspring:
SME Sweets Made of Gold SME Wabi Ozaawa (Nez Perce) SME Burnished Gold SME Raven's Black Gold SME Flight of Fancy

Morning Star Equestrian Bloodlines
Akhal-Teke Sires
When Silver Maple started breeding Akhal-Tekes I looked at Morning Star Equestrian and Amanda for guidance. This stallion was one of Amanda's first foundations, a beautiful clay-baked red dun. He was the most sought after stud that MSE had, I never purchased a foal from MSE of his or asked for a breeding request...but years later I was offered MSE Smooth as Silk, a mare from Phoenix and Siren Song. It is through her that SME has a connection to this incredible stallion.
I have to admit that I don't actually know that much about this stallion... I always thought of him as the refiner. Waters was the stallion that you bred your heavier mares to, your less typy mares that you wanted a more refined look to. Looking back through my lines he has done good work. I like to think of Uncharted Waters as a Sims "Peren". He may not be the flashest stallion at the stud but he makes good babies.
This cremello stallion is so wrapped up in my bloodlines that not line breeding him takes work. An amazing race horse, perfect conformation for what SME wants to bred for... just wow. I never knew much about Rebel either, but he passed on to his foals a sweet personality... and loudness. I am proud to have so many horses that have Rebel in their bloodlines.
This bad boy was like a hot summer storm... just ran across the landscape causing chaos. He was the sire of my first foal from MSE, Sweet Revenge. I loved that mare! And she was just like her sire! She was gorgeous to look at, had wings on her hooves at the track and always produced a great foal. She was retired early because she was dangerous around her foals, but I still miss her. Clockwork Orange and Revenge's lines are continued in Sweet Anything's. Andie isn't his grand-sire's son or even his dam's, poor Andie is a sweetie... takes after his sire Rebel.
I remember on the old forum when Amanda introduced this stallion and Clockwork Orange.... there honestly looked like a feeding frenzy to get in breeding requests on this brindle boy. It wasn't much better on Orange below. Now I don't know if brindle is even a genetic possibility with Akhal-Tekes. But look at him! Tell me you wouldn't be happy to have him in your horse's family tree?! I received three breeding stock from Amanda, Smooth as Silk mentioned above, Strawberry Daquairi, and the stallion American Horror Story. American Horror Story continued Forgotten Suns bloodlines down into two of my mares (neither are brindle).
MSE Black*Star
When Amanda had this stallion and Ghost in the Machine imported they became the best Akhal-Teke stallions in the community. I have no idea how many foals either stallion have sired, but I was beyond happy when Amanda was willing to bred my mare Cloudy Skies with Black*Star. That foal is my now fully retired Neutron Star, through him I have continued on Black*Star's line. So far Black*Star's qualities have bred strong, all of his offspring are fast, headstrong, with amazing sporting abilities.
MSE Ghost in the Machine
This stallion broke the norm for a Morning Star Equestrian horse, he was calm obedient... almost a turnkey horse. All those great qualities aside, Ghost in the Machine was also an incredible Eventer. We never did get the chance to have a direct descendant of him but we have his line continuing in our bloodstock through Coming Home. All of Ghost in the Machine's amazing attributes have bred true and several of his offspring have prize winning Eventing, Show Jumping and Dressage careers.

Akhal-Teke Dams
The grandmother of both Silver Maple Equestrian's Akhal-Tekes and Nez Perces, Siren Song was the atypical Akhal-Teke when she was introduced. She is just grace and beauty in motion. I can count her five times in both of my breeds. She was an incredible broodmare, that produced nothing but quality foals no matter the stallion that she was crossed with. I was overjoyed to receive the second generation mare Smooth as Silk, who boasted both Song and Phoenix as her parents.

Nez Perce Bloodlines
WHS Shattered Love
A Nez Perce stallion from Willowing Horse Stables, which is now closed, Shattered Love was a great stallion. He was not shown much and never produced many foals but he left us with Chila, which we are incredibly happy for.
Offspring:
SME Gigage Nvde SME Waachila Alxayx
MSE/SME Toyam
Toyam is the stud from Broken Clocks that we had always wanted for Silver Maple. Toyam was never really a competitor but he produced great foals and his lines continue on at SME with Wana Pascht.
Offspring:
SME Vanishing Lands SME Palouse Song SME Wana Pascht
|
CHF Criminal's Song
Criminal's Song came to us from Chapel Hill Farm, a fine breeder of Nez Perce horses. She was a good show jumper but retired early in her career for breeding. She produced a few foals for us and is now enjoying her retirement with Desert Mirage and Celilo.
Offspring:
SME Golden's Song SME Pashxa SME Palouse Song SME Wana Pascht
CHF/SME Celilo
Celilo was a result from a breeding request between SME Blazing Sun and Chapel Hill Farm's Cochise. She was a natural at low level Hunter and had small career before being retired as a broodmare. Celilo's sweet personality inherited clearly in her few offspring and we are happy to see her line continue in Chila.
Offspring SME Gigage Nvde SME Waachila Alxayx

Kathiawari Blood Lines
SME Kimusio
Kimusio was sold to the EBA as a public stud. We only have one foal from him, Anikina. He was a titled stallion in tent-pegging when he was sold for stud.
|
SME Athasia
Athasia was sold, along with Kimusio and Kalyani to the EBA as a public broodmare. We only have one foal from her and Kimusio. We are glad to offer her and our other foundation Kathiawari to the EBA.
SME Kalyani
It was hard to let Kalyani go, but we felt that she would be better served as a public broodmare in the EBA. Kallie has had three foals for us. The last of which is from MSE Work of Art!
